Good child care shapes young lives. Collaborative for Children helps lay the foundation.

Since 1987, Collaborative for Children, a nonprofit agency located in Houston, has been dedicated to advancing the quality of care and education for all children in the Greater Houston Metropolitan Area.

Collaborative for Children programs support statistics showing that quality care and early childhood education promote brain development and pave the way for lifelong learning.
Drawing on a staff of child development specialists, the organization’s goals are:

• To improve the availability of good child care
  
• To help parents learn how to identify good child care and early education
  
• To identify and solve the problems facing both working families and caregivers
  
• To improve the child care delivery system in Harris and 16 surrounding counties

As a strategic partner to Corporate HANDS, Collaborative for Children administers the funding for local projects and designs and carries out child care programs based on criteria provided by corporate members.
